International Partnerships and Innovation Success with Circuitworx

Electronics and software engineering consultants CircuitWorx has gone from strength to strength since its inception two years ago by two experienced engineers near Old Sarum in Salisbury.

CircuitWorx recently moved to a new office in Romsey and in November they revealed they are the new UK design partner for established French manufacturing specialist Selva Electronique. The collaboration aims to boost sales for both companies and bring new engineering jobs to Hampshire. CircuitWorx will be able to offer Selva’s state-of-the art manufacturing facilities integrated within their own design services.

The company’s client base started from zero in 2014 to over 30 local and national companies, building on their reputation through word of mouth and personal recommendations. CircuitWorx clients are often start-up companies who have great ideas but need help transforming those concepts into real working prototypes, enabling them to conduct market research, secure future funding and ultimately place their product on the market.

CircuitWorx bucks the trend in a sector that is often picked out as not pulling its weight when it comes to gender diversity. 40% of CircuitWorx engineers are women. This compares with a UK national average of 6% making Circuitworx a leading example for the engineering industry. The company supports very flexible working arrangements to accommodate home and family situations, knowing that people who are respected and happy in their job produce better quality work and a better environment for everyone.

Schools are of course doing much more with industry to encourage girls to take up STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects, demonstrating the wide and varied career opportunities where both men and women can excel.

On the recent move to Hampshire CircuitWorx Director and hardware expert Rob Steel said:

“Due to continued growth of the company over the past two years, it was time to move into larger offices. As a region that drives innovation, we saw Hampshire as a prime location in which to invest. With the abundance of universities and technology companies nearby, there is a great pool of talent in Hampshire for us to choose from. This relocation will allow us to expand our team in the UK and provide better service to our customers in Europe and beyond.”

“We are confident that our new collaboration with Selva will help us grow our business and offer even better services to our clients. We are looking forward to doubling our engineering team over the next couple of years to support this growth.”

Invest in Hampshire is delighted to welcome Circuitworx to Hampshire and we look forward to supporting the company with its future growth.
