Burgess Marine doesn't just repair ships, it now works in the new build market within the Superyacht industry. It has one of the best performing Wind Farm Support Vessel’s (WFSV’s) and has recently acquired Meercat Workboats which is to retain its name and build the brilliantly designed multipurpose workboats it has been building for the last 8 years in Hampshire. Burgess Marine has 9 sites across the UK South Coast, with Dry Dock Facilities, ship lift and alongside berths with 150 fully qualified engineers on the books and 250 locally pre-qualified sub-contractors and engineers.
In Hampshire their workshops span Portmsouth, Portchester and Southampton making Burgess Marine ideally located to support the UK’s largest passenger port in Southampton, but also shipping in general throughout the busy English Channel.

Burgess Marine recently completed works on one of the UK’s largest superyacht refits, which lasted 4 years, to the highest standards imaginable. At her infancy and with over 250 men on the job at its peak, this refit was a land mark project for Burgess Marine and lead the company to seek an open minded owner wishing to build the Best of British - Project Nelson. A classic timeless superyacht with the elegance, class and everything a Connoisseur would look for. Project Nelson alone would bring jobs to the Hampshire region whilst reliant on local suppliers and trades to assist deliver this large scale prestigious project.
It’s not all super yacht luxury, Burgess Marine is entering its busiest period of the year, taking up and dry docking the Red Funnel, Wight link and Gosport Ferries as examples this winter.
