Solent Enterprise Zone at Daedalus, Fareham & Gosport
The Solent Enterprise Zone at Daedalus is one of 24 set up nationally to support local economic growth. It is earmarked as an advanced manufacturing centre of excellence within the marine and aerospace industries. The landmark gateway entrance to the Enterprise Zone at Daedalus is formed by the Centre of Excellence in Engineering & Manufacturing Advanced Skills Training (www.fareham.ac.uk/cemast) and the Fareham Innovation Centre at Daedalus (www.fareham-ic.co.uk).
The Enterprise Zone is supported by the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership and land being brought forward for development includes;
• Daedalus East (40 ha) and Daedalus West (14 ha) are closely related to the operational airfield.
• The Waterfront (23 ha) is closely related to Lee-on-the-Solent with a slipway link to the Solent while Daedalus Park (3.25 hectares) is an employment led scheme suitable for industrial and office development providing up to 130,000 sq. ft of floorspace (multi unit or single unit options available).
Site Size: 80 hectares of developable land capable of accommodating approximately 1.3 million sq ft of employment floor space.
Use: Mixed use: office, R & D, light industrial, general industrial, storage & distribution uses, retail, leisure, community, hotel and residential.
