The world leading accountancy firm continues to strive for economic growth for the South East.
Grant Thornton, a world leading accountancy firm, prominent in the United States and United Kingdom has been living up to its name and continuously working with businesses in the south to ensure the region possesses a vibrant, prosperous economy.
Grant Thornton, although a global name, has without fail provided excellent professional businesses advice to a numerous amount of local small and medium enterprises that encircle the region.
Recently Grant Thornton’s lease for their Hampshire base ran out, however instead of renewing it they decided to invest in a collaborative space and in effect move closer to the client. The space will be located at the University of Southampton Science Park - a business park teeming with small and medium enterprises.
The new centre, which is set to bring people, enterprise and ideas together will be kitted out networking and coffee zones, a board room, call pods, meeting booths and a flexible project space for the 65 strong client facing employees.
The space will provide a base from which Grant Thornton can service southern businesses, mostly situated in the Solent and the M3 corridor areas, and will dispense opportunities for regional businesses to meet and discuss ideas with added access to expert advice, mirroring the Science Park’s vision of building a non-exclusive, collaborative and enterprising business community.
Norman Armstrong, partner at Grant Thornton is confident the move will be beneficial for both staff and clients and commented: “Linking up with our networks collaboratively means we see challenges of business in a complex and interconnected way” he then said with regards to the new space “We are not alone in considering how changing technology and working behaviour impact on our office environments. The space will be a place for people to spend an hour, a day, host a meeting, make a call, or hold an offsite team session. It will also reflect our ambition to be the ‘go to’ firm for growth and our focus on those dynamic organisations that wish to grow.”
